Harris Veterinary Clinic: A Purpose-Built Space for Care and Comfort

Walker Architects partnered with Harris Veterinary Clinic to design a new stand-alone facility tailored to the daily needs of veterinary staff, patients, and pet owners. The completed clinic is organized to support efficient workflows while creating a calm, welcoming environment for both animals and people.

The building includes four exam rooms, a large open treatment area, and a dedicated surgery and procedure room, allowing the clinical team to deliver a full range of care within a highly functional layout. Separate kennel spaces for cats and dogs, along with distinct waiting areas in the lobby, help reduce stress and improve the overall experience for patients.

The facility also incorporates two office spaces, an employee lounge, and a thoughtfully designed euthanasia room with a private exit, providing a more compassionate setting during sensitive moments.

Walker Architects worked closely with the Owner to coordinate medical planning and ensure the space aligns with operational needs from day one. The design also includes forward-looking planning for a future Phase II expansion, allowing the clinic to grow without disruption.

The result is a practical, well-organized facility that supports quality care, staff efficiency, and a more comfortable experience for every visit.

With simplicity and elegance in mind, the Exactech Garage merges classic, rectilinear forms with sleek, high-tech metal accents to create a balanced composition that frames the Exactech signature emblem. 

 The result is a construct that extends a gentile and warm welcome to the Exactech complex while satisfying the need for secure storage of over 560 vehicles on four levels.
