The City of Williston has a vision of renewed purpose in the heart of their historic downtown district. They approached Walker Architects to help with a plan to restore and reopen the building arcade, freshen Main Street storefronts, and introduce a new community space in Parcel O. These projects, in tandem, offer a powerful invigoration effort that could redefine and rejuvenate the fabric of downtown Williston.
At the project outset, visioning projected a fresh Student Health Care Center which would feel welcoming, innovative, and student-centric. The new SHCC would embody wellness in a holistic sense, a space serving the body, mind, and soul of all patients, whether in need of treatment or well care.
PAC-CLAD, manufacturer of architectural metal roofing and cladding products, featured Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium on their case study list this week. This case study details how we worked together with PAC-CLAD to develop a roofing solution that tied back to the university's existing campus architecture.

Newly renovated Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium, designed by Walker Architects in partnership with Populous, reopened on Tuesday night.
The University Athletic Association board approved the new Gators’ baseball ballpark budget in early December, paving the way for the project to break ground in February, pending University of Florida Trustee Board approval.
Renovations will include a 360-degree open concourse, shade structures for fans and an elevated press box.
